Dear Sweetheart (wife)

I just got a letter from Mother today and she said you had been looking for a letter. Well, Honey here one comes. I am sorry I can't write every day. But listen, I look for one from you just as hard as you do from me. Dear, I wish we were together so we didn't have to write.

Honey I get to leave camp now on Sundays. I go to chirch (church) every Sunday morning and now go to the free show down at the lower camp, Sunday night. I saw Jack Benny in "Love Thy Neighbor" last night. It sure was a good show. Oh, yes dear no girls are allowed to go. I haven't seen a pretty girl since I left Mrs. Lee's one Friday about one month ago.

Honey, I will always love you and no one else. There never was a girl as sweet and pretty as you. I would give anything to see and be with you now.

All of the other boys here are lonesome and homesick to see there (their) girls. I feel sorry for some of them. Two are (or) three have gone to the hospital and one will be sent home, He had (has) flat feet. He was so glad that he cried.

I have wrote (written) you 3 letters now in the last 4 or 5 days. Mabby (maybe) this on will beat them to you. I have a lot of trouble getting stamps. Mother sent me some today. Listen Honey the (they) want you to stay with them. She told me so today. She said they would help you some to get cloths (clothes) and if they could sell the horses they would pay you insted (instead) of getting "Chee" to stay and help Mother. Don't tell them I told you. Dear I wish you would stay until I come back. We will get married then and be happy all our lives.

I am sending some corral I got out of the Pacific Ocean just below our camp. It (It's) awful pretty now but I expect it will be dried up when it come (comes).

I will close now hoping you are well.

With all my Love,

From your loving

Husband
